Meet Precious Pink! She is a girl who has only ever seen the world in one color...pink! An explorer at heart, she sets out in her father's boat on an epic adventure. She is only given one rule: do not cross the boundary waters, danger lies there.

Precious accidentally finds herself on the wrong side of the water where the dolphins no longer shimmer in pink. It is uncharted territory that no one in history has ever entered before...nor returned from.

Precious Pink is a charming chapter book for grades 2-5 with beautifully hand-painted illustrations. It carries educational undertones of social and ethnic disparities in a way that encourages acceptance of others despite their differences. There is a bonus educational section at the end which explains for kids the science of how we see color.
