5 Things You Need To Publish Your Book

1. Reviews. You may not think tht you have to worry about reviews until your book is released, but without good reviews, it is difficult to sell your book and get reviews. Catch 22, right?! Have people in place before you publish who are willing to read and review your book for you. Email them your final draft before you publish it so they are on standby with their reviews for your book release.

2. Choose between a publishing company and self-publishing. If you choose to self-publish, do it for free at createspace.com. Don't pay someone else to do what you can do yourself! They guide you through every step and make it easy.

3. Website. You need an author website in order to link your books to createspace or amazon. Not all of the places you want to advertise your book will accept amazon affiliated sites, so link to your website.

4. Content editor. As you write your book, have several different people reading it along the way. These should be the kind of people in your target audience and people who understand what you are writing about. You will also need someone to review your book for spelling and grammar, but these people will help keep you on the right track with a fresh set of eyes as you develop your book.

5. Advertising. Build up hype before your book release. Use your website, facebook, youtube, the local paper or news or whatever you think will work to let people know about your book.
